California Speeding Tickets

Never admitt guilt. Call the local prosecuters office try to stike up a deal. Get points dropped reduced fine payments. The last thing they want to do is put a working person in jail for a traffic ticket.

.....is it just me, or does this come up a lot. I need to do a write up on speed enforcement.

Spent 15 years using radar and laser. Actually certified as an instructor in laser. I wonder if I still have my manuals around.........

I have beaten every radar ticket I have ever gotten except the one in California. you can't beat a ticket in a CA court, the deck is stacked against you and those dirty corrupt traffic court judges don't play fair.

I did beat a ticket in AZ. I was ticketed for 90 in a 75 and my speedometer was off. I knew it was off, I knew I was doing 90. I didn't argue with the cop. went to the transmission shop in town and had my speedo re-calibrated. went to court, told the judge "I am not making an excuse but my speedometer was off and I have since had it fixed. showed the judge the paperwork and he reduced the ticket to minimum fine with no points. cost $50 to have the speedo calibrated, saved me $450 on the fine.

remind me to tell you how the city of Fontane got back at me for beating a ticket.

...do traffic school if the county you were cited in allows it (most do), and make up the difference in disposible income for a time. Like truck modifications or going to the movies........Now, you CAN ask the judge for reduction based on what your real problems are,,,

X2....but California sucks the CHP is just a bunch of Revenuers...all they want is more $$$ and more ticket money so they can line their pockets and self-justify.
