here's a little somethin' i just designed. let me know what you think. and yes, it will be tied into the frame, i just forgot to draw that part.

Looks strong i would of done a X in the back but the race cars dont but you might want a bar going halfway from the purple support bar to the bend in the pillar bars where the lower windsheild bar connects so if you were to land on the roof really hard it dosent squat down and forward.

don't forget to continue the windshield bar all the way down to the frame after hitting the dash bar.
 
i like this except the pink top part. i'm pretty tall and it looks like it would be right over my head.

Could you turn the pink bars the other way then? And have them come to a point in the rear instead of the front? Then just put a bar going down the middle in the back?
 
If you want to try your degign out on a bronco first we could do mine.;)
