my truck came with an auto trans, [no clutch peddle] can I use a mustang peddle/cable for T5 or is it easier to put hydrolic? If any one says use the search I'll punch'em in the junk!

it came with the engine. why not?

Some have tried the cable system after trying to get the hydraulic system to work but it's not that hard. Even since '05' the Mustangs use the hydraulic set-up. Think I paid under $50 for the correct Ranger petal and master cylinder, they actually threw in an extra master.

Use the search.

The hydraulic is quite easy, as it bolts in to the Ranger.
Want to use stock parts?

7/8 master from an '89 V6 (search napaonline for the correct part number). Oh, shoot, I said search.
Slave form an '83/'84 Ranger diesel will get a slave that can mount to a pice of angle, an '83/'84 slave for a 2.8 will mount to a pice of flat plate.

And a piece of -3AN tubing will link it all together.

After market, try this, most of the way down:

The cable is easier than the interntz will tell you, search the 60's Mustang sites. Crap, I used the "S" word again.

So how much do you have to change to make it a cable clutch? You don't need a new pedal do you?

Let's see... To go to the cable thing, find a Mushtang that still has the pedal setup with the "quadrant" parts still on it, figure out how to mount the cable housing ferrule to the Ranger fire wall, and then copy the Mushtang from there. Oh, and learn to look forward to periodic cable stretch and adjustment, broken quadrant bellcranks, and replacement cables. Enjoy!
