Hey, I'm new to the Ranger Forums, actually the first time I've ever used forums so I don't quite know how this whole thing works. Anyway, I have a 1997 Ford Ranger ext cab and I've noticed the drivers side floor board has been pretty damp and apparently has been for a while. I'm wondering if there is anywhere particular for these trucks I should look for a leak, the windshield is fine so I'm wondering if it's leaking through the windshield wiper grate... Any ideas?

many of the earlier models had a problem with the drains getting plugged up and water running inside the cab when that happened. i fixed mine by filling the seam where the fender, cowl, and lower windshield corner all come together. i used adhesive silicone sealant and just filled that 4 inch (or so) gap up completely. my leak was on the passenger side, but i went ahead and did the drivers side as preventative medicine.
there may be other suggestions in the 'exterior' forum on this site.

good luck and welcome to TRS!!
