cab swap question

Is it possible to remove the 6 body bolts/bushings, unhook all cables,wires,hoses,linkages,radiator, etc. and then just lift the cab off the truck ?

I'm trying to replace a wrecked 87 4X cab with a mint 86 2X cab & was hoping they can be removed as a unit - without removing fenders individually.

Got the bed off with no problem & the cab looks do-able to me. Just need advice from someone who's been thru it before.

Any help appreciated

If you have everything unhooked you can lift it right off. The "doghouse" and cab are spot welded together from the factory.
