good question
Who here has installed them and what are your thoughts and opinions on them. I have a set laying around

They are a great way to get water leaks in your cab.

They do look cool, but can be a pain to keep working. And yes, drilling holes in the roof is a good way for water to gain entry later. I siliconed mine. Some time ago I saw a ad from a company that made magnetic attachment ones. not sure how you would turn them on/off. I probably wouldn’t do it again. Dealing with the headliner was a real pain too.

Okay thank you I guess maybe I won’t do it

I have seen one set of the magnetic ones. They had usb-c charging on each light, a light sensor, and a remote for control.

Hm I wonder how long they last

What was wrong with light bulbs, some wire, a switch, and a power source?

Is nothing sacred anymore?

It's just to avoid drilling holes in the roof of a $80,000 truck.

While I definitely am against rain in the compartment, I am a die-hard Ventvisor protagonist and some amber light from the Ventvisor can help in the rain, snow and fog, all the while make the vehicle more visible 100% of the time.

I like the traditional semi-cab style 5 lamp (chicken lights), equal spacing, all aimed slightly to the ditch. I chose high power forward projecting LED bulbs, very pleased with how they help me see while driving 😉

A buyer of an $80,000 truck already has a hole in their head, so why not put 'em in the truck, too?

I just can't believe, what new vehicles cost these days. They must charge a lot extra, for the absolutely "butt-ugly" styling.

A truck . . . should be just a truck, and not a rolling mansion.
