c6 verses c4

I doubt any engine could break a C6, so sky's the limit.
Downside is that it eats horsepower because of its heavier parts and rotating mass.
For heavy duty towing C6 can't be beat.
But for speed the C4 is a much better choice, because it is lighter and smaller, and can be built to handle alot of torque.

If you have to have a number then stock C4 and C6 I would think would be up to 100hp apart, i.e. C4 250HP, C6 350HP

The C6 handles factory power at around 400 hp. Many people bump the power a little higher without modification to the C6.
Im pushing 425hp through my C-6 with only a B&M TorqueMaster torque converter. Its held up to everything I have thrown at it and asks for more. If I was to do it all again, I would find a C-4 and put a little into it (more HP to the wheels). I will never beat up the 6 (even with slow crawling on trails), and it's what I had at the time I did my swap. The adapter for the Dana 20 was around 900 back in 2000.

What I was getting at is they say a c6 take extra horse power to run it compared to a c4.
