ive searched and could not use a word with less than 3 letters so .i was wondering if you could convert a 2 wheel drive c6 to 4 wheel drive? i ask becasue i found a guy with a rebuilt c6 2wheel drive for 100 bucks.

i believe the only difference is in the tailshaft. on a 2 wheel version you have the tailshaft and on the 4 wheel version they remove the tailshaft housing and put the adaptor to marry it to the transfer case. i have swapped out tail sections without any difficulty and as far as the adaptor goes i don't think it would be too difficult a job as long as you have some mechanical abillity. anyway maybe someone else will come along who's done the swap and can tell you what all is entailed, as all i know is swapping tailhousing for tailhousing.

You will have to change out the output shaft by installing a 4 wheel drive shaft as well as the tail housing.

As long as the transmission was truely rebuilt and it working order a normal mechanically inclined person can tear it apart to change the tailshaft as long as you have a manual to go by. Thats how I first leaned.
