does anyone make an adapter that goes form a C4 to a BW1354??
Im thinking of droppin in a 302 and a C4 seems like the best option for a tranny but i dont see a reason to swap out T-cases too.
Thanks
Beef

would a 4R70W transmission out of an explorer be better??? since i believe i could take the motor and tranny out of an Ex together and everything should "bolt up" to the drivetrain???
Thanks

the explorer tranny will bolt to the 1354 IIRC

The 1350/1354 will not bolt up to a stock 5.0 Explorer trans - wrong bolt pattern and different shaft size.

Advance Adapters makes kits that will adapt the 1350/1354 to either the C4 or the 4R70W.
The C4 to 1350/1354 kit is around $500.
For the 4R70W, you'd need the AOD to 1350/1354 kit plus the AODE oiling modification kit - about $600 for both.

If you desire to use the C4 you might be able to do that pretty cheap depending on where you look and find the parts. Check a local trans shop, look for a Ranger/BII C5 extension housing and output shaft. Install those in your C4 and a 1350/1354 will fit on the back of it no sweat. The Ranger cases won't fit on the V8 explorer trans...thats where advance adapter comes in.
