C4 Stator ring

I managed to break the thicker one, anyone know of a place to get one (or a set)?

I don't really want to buy a whole rebuild kit for just the one ring...

Edit: I goofed on the title, it is actually a C5...

When i rebuilt a C6 this year i needed a part that wasn't in the kit, i just typed the part i needed into google.

Quick search brought this up.

drop by a local trans shop, they should have stuff laying around. The one I used to work at did.

I scoured the 'net one night last week (I think it was Thursday night) and found this for part numbers (NOBODY listed anything on any of the normal parts websites)

Direct clutch
64-69 1.75x.0935 C4AZ-7D020A
70-86 1.80x.0935 DOAZ-7D020A

Forward clutch
64-69 1.707x.0935 C4AZ-7D019B
70-77 1.757x.0935 DOAZ-7D019A
78-86 1.757x.124 D7AZ-7D019A E1AZ-7D019A 761004

From there I got the DOAZ-7D020A to sub to FR108 on Rockauto and they had them in stock, I ordered a couple extras (because they are such a PITA to come by)

To be fair, after I got that number the guys at two parts stores could get the number up, $5/ring with $15/freight and 3-4 days out. Rockauto was $3sumthin per ring, $2.71 freight and probably the same time frame to get it here.

No "local" trans shops around here. I know the Ford dealer goes into the newer stuff but their eyes glaze over at the 8 in 198X when you ask for anything to do with this project.

I got in my rings.

I ordered four thinking I could replace the two I broke and have a couple spares. Rockauto's website said ring set but showed no picture and I could find nothing for a picture anywhere for that number. The pricing wasn't that far out of line with the parts stores and it was cheap enough either way I went for it.

When they say set they mean set... I now have four complete sets so I should be good to go.

Kinda odd I got four whole sets for about the same money as a single ring from a parts store...
