Ok so I'm doing the same ol' 302 swap lots of others are doing but I have a C-6 and NP205 laying around from a '79 F-350 That I planned on using. The motor that was in there was a 400M so my question is, will it bolt up to a 302 or will I need a smaller bell housing. I think I already know the answer (no) but I figured I'd throw it out there... Thanks.

You'll need a small block c6

I thought the C6 bellhousing and case was one piece and the bellhousing does not unbolt from the tranny like the C4 ???
C-6 bolt ups?

This c6 has the same bolt pattern as a 429 or 460 and wont fit. If you had one off of a 351W it would work. Sorry for the bad news.

no big deal, its a spare for my 78 F-150 anyway... Now that I looked at it I seen that it is a one piece housing and I cant swap the bellhousing. Stupid me :D

If you are in total dire need to use that one order yourself a blow proof bell from jegs or summit. Cut the bell off the C6 and ta-da you just transformed your big block patter C6 to a small block pattern. The new bellhousing bolts on through the pump. That would be a last resort or if you are building a decent powerplant
