I have a 85 ranger 2wd with a 302, c-4 tranny and 7.5 3.73 rear end. Tires are 31x10.50x15. The c-4 has a new filter, new vaccum modulator and a new fluid in it. It seems to shift out of second quick. If i get on the throttle then it will stay in 2nd long enough but when shifting into 3rd i have to let off of the gas or the rpm will jump up before it hits 3rd.

Anyone know the gear ratio's of each gear in an AOD transmission.

There is an adjustment screw inside the vacuum nipple on the modulator for the shift points.

Yes, the modulator should be adjustable and that should fix your problem. If it is not an adjustable one then you need to get an adjustable one.
AOD gears...
stock 1st gear: 2.40
2nd gear: 1.47
3rd gear: 1.00
4th gear: ? (overdrive, .something)
low gear set 1st gear: 2.84
2nd gear: 1.55
3rd: same as stock
4th: same as stock

Unfortunatly this vacuum modulator doesnt have an adjustment in it. Anyone know where to get one or what the part number is.
