Let me know if yall got any ideas of what I should do next!

If I take out my sway bar, what can I expect to get out of doing this? I want to crank the t bar as well, and put in a rear shackle to raise the rear even with the crank. Is this possible????

Dude that is an awesome truck! How did it get wrecked?

Do it. I took off both my sway bars a long time ago and I haven't looked back. I have an add a leaf and cranked torsion bars and I think the ride is too stiff and i wanna switch to shackles. I say do it

so i should take both off?

And I have heard if you do take off the sway bar you will get more "body roll"? what exactly is that??? And If I do this will it ride wierd with my torsion bar front end I dont have coils.

You can just disconnect them and see if you like how it drives, and if you don't then just re-connect them. You can crank your tbars and do shackles you will get 2-3 inches of lift. Sway bars work to keep the wheels in contact with the road, providing grip for the driver of vehicle to control its direction. This suspension is compliant to some degree, allowing the vehicle body, which sits upon the suspension, to lean in the direction of the turn. Now if you take them off your not going to go on two wheels taking a turn to quickly but you will have to lean into the turn more. It's kind of hard to explain but you will see what I'm talking about once you do it. Cranking you bars will somewhat help with body roll because your whole front end will be stiffer. I honestly like having no sway bars because it doesn't make that much of a difference in my truck and you have more flex off road.

ok that helps a lot. Thanks for the info. I will probably try it after I get home from a short trip north. I dont want to be doing any work while im away.

its been a while so thought id give yall an update
3 inch body lift made gap guards for the bumper and the bed cut the tow package so that it would look right and a lot of other little things

Im not normally a huge fan of body lifts, but your truck looks real sharp!
Why is the front so low in the last two pics? Or were those pictures before the body lift?
