BW 1350 shift lever

has anyone ever made a custom shifter for this style t case? i bought the case with no shift lever an no wrecker around here has this t case or shifter so i was wondering if anyone has made there own shifter? or if anyone has an idea on how to make one. i tried just a piece of flat bar going striaght up into the cab but it didnt work.
