Hey guys im on my way to possibly buy a bed. i purchased a bagged 2006 ranger but want to buy a different bed a guy is selling a 2003 bed. mine is a regular bed his is a step side would it bolt on?? i need help fast as i said im on my way to look at it.

also if anyone knows what beds are interchangeable? i also own a 97 and also want to one day buy a step side. Thanks in advance!

If you have the regular 6' bed (not the long bed which is 7') the step side bed will bolt right up. You will need the fuel filler neck and the rear bumper from the step side truck too. Easy swap otherwise, shouldn't take more than 45 minutes with a helper.

But, if your truck is bagged, would bet the bed has been modified to put all that stuff under there.

Possibly not if it was just an Explorer rear swap/bag install. Or even just a standard bag install. If it's laying frame, then, you're probably right. lol

Hopefully he would have said as much in the OP, but maybe it was setup as a 'low/slow that can still tow'. :)
