Buyers' Guide

Maybe I'm missing it, but is there a buyers' guide in here that tells you the advantage/disadvantage of each generation as well as what to look out for and what to check out for wear/breakage?

Reason why is I'm looking to buy a used one for use around the house, and although I have had a Ranger in the past, it was many moons ago AND new when I bought it. Since I want to spend less than 3K, I figure the trucks will be at least ten years old, with all the wear and tear associated with that.

So...can anyone point me in the right direction?

I don't think that we do have one, but that is a really good idea.

Someone should write a buyers guide.
