So im in the process of doing a slight resto of my ranger and ive put it off a little to long and the rust has gotten to my rear fender wells...its nothing to awful but at first i was leaning towrds regular flares rather than cutouts...doing the cutouts will get rid of all the rust that is there...im wanting to know overall are cutouts the smart path in the long run...some tell me yes some say no but i know this is the place for the right answer...and im also wanting to know how hard of a process these cut outs are to do on my own....some links would help..thanks in advance guys

I dont know how much this will help you but i had them on a 79 k5 blazer the cutouts with a 4 inch lift i easly cleared 38-12.50-15s. As far as the flairs go i even hit a tree with them i had to replace the fender and reuse the flair there dam strong hope this helps some

I had em on my 91 ranger....smashed them to bits wheeling.....absolute waste of $500....
