I had my blower motor off a couple weeks ago and saw the leaves in there. On my 88 there is a piece of mesh in between the blower motor and the cab of the truck. Did you guys just cut the mesh out of the way to clean it?

I had my blower motor off a couple weeks ago and saw the leaves in there. On my 88 there is a piece of mesh in between the blower motor and the cab of the truck. Did you guys just cut the mesh out of the way to clean it?

I pull the motor and open it up (recirculate I think) so I can see the inside floor through the hole. Then I hit it with the shop air blow gun. They swirl around in there until they work their way out on the passenger side floorboard and then I vacuum them up.
