Burn baby burn

I've been meaning to get a fire extinguisher for years but never have. Sorry about your truck. I would have cried if I had to watch my baby burn.

Go pick one up just in case yours does or anyone's else catches a blaze!

^ Seriously...me too..

Man I'm sorry about that. Hope you find a cab pronto!

We let the insurance take it over, they are gonna give us a lump sum of cash for it. Maybe there will be another ranger.

Very sorry to hear that... I hope they give you a good amount for it at least. Now im gonna be extreemly cautious lol The slightest smell and im callin the fire department lol jk :P

I have a friend who had his truck burn to the ground... everything gone, he was on the way home from school - phone, nice roadbike, laptop, everything. $2200 in wheels and tires gone... damn nice truck too

holy shit.....man, that sucks, sorry about your truck

That really sucks. Mine started to catch, one morning. Smoke started poring out of the vents, had to put my head out the window, to see enough to drive it to an out of the way lot and let her go. I called the fire dept, which showed up in minutes.....And then the fire went out!!!!!! It stunk like burned leaves in the cab for weeks. I noticed the heater only worked on high speed. Like has been said, my blower speed resistors caught the leaves on fire....and then the fire wrecked the resistor. I changed the resistor and vacuumed out all the leaves I could reach through the resistor hole. Truck has been fine ever since and that was maybe 10 years ago, now. Moral of the story, you guys, is to take out your resistor and clean out the leaves BEFORE your truck burns to the waterline.

Good piece of info right there!

I think I'm going to go clean out my heater box when I get a chance and also buy a fire extingisher as well. I would be bawling if my truck caught fire and had to wait for the fire department.
