So after having plenty of people stop short or pull out slowly in front of me where I have to lock up my brakes I decided to build a little bumper to discourage those acts. LOL. I's 64" wide, 10" deep and 9.75" tall. It's a combination of 1/8" and 1/4" steel and weighs about 60lbs so far (still need to add brackets and some more metal on the bottom)

And all in all with the metal, cutting and bending by the shop (great guys) it's cost me $90.

I'm only half done grinding it (quit at 9pm after 1 1/2hrs of grinding) but I should be done tomorrow and will be looking to get it mounted sometime this week if it ever stops raining.

Not bad for a little 110v Miller.

More progress as it comes!

yeah i'd say you could hit a beamer or two and not have too much damage.
looks badass....i wanna build one for myself......one day, after i've completed everything else on the list. can't wait to see it mounted and painted

That looks like the one I want to build exept I will make it thinner and I will have tube going up over the lights like a buck stop bumper some d ring shackles on front and maybe sink some lights in it. I just have to get my welder back in working order picked it up off my grandpa it was made in 10-5-64 and it is well used it needs all new cables at the least they were held together with DUCK TAPE :icon_thumby::icon_rofl:. He would shock himself all the time but would never brake down and get new cables.
