The Bronco II has a bumper guard that was in great shape a few months ago, a couple drives through the snow and running it through salted roads has quickly rusted the chrome . I was wondering if there was anyway to sand away the rust or if anyone has ever flat blacked these bumper guards and how that would look.

^It went from this

To this-

I would wire brush away as much of the rust as you can, and then use Ospho or another kind of rust converter, Eastwood makes some also. Then paint whatever color you end up deciding on over that stuff.

Wire brush it then clear it.

Mine is black, but so is my truck.
