Built me a new welding table

Well my welding teacher is making no sense and thinks my welding table need to be top quality! Come on it's a frickin welding table! She won't even let me take it home today and make me work on it even more!

Wtf do you need paint on a fab table for?

Something needs to burn when you're welding....better the paint. It might make it hard to strike an arc if you paint the top tho....

I wont paint the top, but just the legs and the sides.

UPDATE: one of the legs got bent, so i gotta weld it and get it back together. I won't be able to get to the welder until next tuesday. I am sorry guys i promised you guys pictures, but stuff came up and I need to fix it before I could bring it home. But here is a sketch up of what it looks like.
