Well, here at the Keller Farm, we are taking the ATV back to the repair shop, maybe its 10th or so time there. It has had shocks, struts, starter, tires, battery (3 times), springs, pull-start (3 times), cylinoid, and more replaced on it in the shop since we purchased it there, but always a good result afterward. They know what they are doing.
Its a 1998 Polaris Sportsman 400 with 4WD, Racks, Plow handle/rack (we do not own a plow, and we removed the rack and handle since we do not), has a tow holder in the front and back, a D/C jack, and is a fuel injected 4-stroke. Got her used from the repair shop. ($850). Also has reinforced tow package, and an upgraded foot rest, along with the extra mud covers! (and seperate low and high beams, haha).
I have pulled the F150 while it was in park.
The only repairs we have done at our house are the back light, we modified a motorcycle bulb to fit the back plug, it came off of my buddy's dirtbike, and we also replaced the battery (failed, forgot to strap it down and I drove away!!!), and we replaced the pull start, that broke after its 5th use (its plastic).
The struts were replaced because I take it off jumps at 55mph haha!
I am working on making that mower that I had for sale in my Garage Sale into a gokart using a mini-bike engine, Jason fixed it in Engine Repair Shop at the high school. Took a lot a work, and a lot of random parts.
The engine is held on by one bolt, and the seat is removed, gonna remove the little transmission tomorrow and turn the engine around so the gas tank is not facing the seat.
Also working on the other mini-bike that I am fixing to sell, its already up for sale, just working on it to be sure its ready to go the best I can, like a chain, adjusted back end, meters work, etc.
Thats our barn/Workshop upstairs BTW, in the back behind that left corner is the mini-bike in the above image. The trailer in the back is the one I am repairing and rebuilding, and etc.
