No updates yet. Still trying to get all the electronics sorted out before I install the engine and trans. Need a DIS module and the front crank pulley.

Got a bit of work done and going to try for more this weekend.

Went to the wreckers and pulled a full wire harness out of a 91 or 92 ranger. Mounted the 91 CAS setup and front pulley to the 97 block along with the 91 TB setup.

Just getting everything ready to swap into the truck. May get the engine up on the lift and pull the flywheel, change the Throwout bearing and put it all back together with a new clutch disk. I have a new slave setup so I may pull out the master cly and bench bleed the setup before I bolt it all back together.

Picked up a clean hood and a non cracked light trim.

Going to start pulling non needed parts off and cleaning it up.

Swapped over the AC heater box to a non AC box.

Kat, it sounds like the project is going well. When you gonna have it done?

Got the pilot bearing installed. New clutch disk. new slave cyl, and bolted the trans up to the engine.

Later on I'll splice the CAS wires back to the harness.

Got the engine hoist positioned. Just need to pull the 4.0L fuel lines off the ranger up to the filter, then I can put the front wheels back on the ground.

Cool. I know you had a 5-speed trans, but what'd you use for a motor? Turbo'd 2.3?

Found out that the slave cyl I had, that I thought was new, leaks. Out comes the trans.

Hopman, ya it's an M5OD trans. The 2.3L is going to stay N/A and stock for now. Just want to get it driving on the road. I will be painting it shortly after I get it running.

Explorer 8.8 and 2/2 drop will be coming before the fall.
