Buildin Ranger Missing Anything?

Dude If it was me i would deffinetly get black i think it looks so much better but its up to you.
and all i done was get the Body lift and a little steering extension, I like my shifter lower. i just cut a bit of the rubber off so its not stickin up over the shift knob once the BL is on..thats all i bought..

yah i like that to but doesnt it screw up anything when u dont put it on do u have a pic of how low it is?>

I AM BEGGING YOU TO GET BLACK RIMS!!!!!! Most guys trick out there trucks to turn heads, and you will turn more heads with black rims. Plus it looks much better. Just look at my truck, 2 inches of total lift, 32x11.5 tires, 15x8 allied daytonas, and it's red. Just tell me it doesn't look awesome?!?! haha

And I think you've got everything....

To each their own, personally IMO they give the truck the same look as a car that isn't worth buying replacement hubcaps for once they fall off, they just look cheap to me.

They may be cost effective if you are going to mangle alloys when when you wheel, but I sure wouldn't buy them just for looks.

I am a Swede/German mix and prefer chrome/polished better.:dntknw:

I had to extend my manual 4x4 lever, if you don't have it you won't have to. A shaft from a tractor starter motor is the exact same diameter as the 4x4 lever shaft, weld on a piece of pipe and drill/tap a hole for a bolt to lock it down and it is done. I have never heard of a kit including an 4x4 lever extension.

I found a gutted tractor starter motor rotor laying around and went to work, a truck one may be the same. If nothing else you will just have to go around with the knob trying to find a hunk of shaft that it fits on, that is what I did. It would still go into 4hi, but the knob was so far down into the boot that 4lo wasn't going to happen.

Otherwise aside from gearing it looks like you have everything.

done yet? :icon_twisted:

For gearing I'm sure you will be fine with 33s and your 4.0, there is a tag on the rear differential that will tell you your gear ratio. And from someone who used to have chrome and then black rims, unless you have the time to keep the chrome clean in the winter it's a pain in the ass. But my black wheels are only about 2 years old and they're already rusting from a couple rough winters...

o i do i have polished aluminum right now im out there every saturday taking it to the wash then waxing it then cleanin chrome so thats not a problem

You'll need a shifter extension.

As far as personal opinion, gears and a locker can't be beat. Also stick with 15x8s, 10s are a bit wide and can cause wheel bearing problems, typically for people who don't set them up properly, and the 10s are too wide for most tires and look funny, 8s will hold a better bead if you're airing down for the trail too.
