i wheel in the bottoms and on brimstone mostly all I want is to build something easy to work on and reliable right now we have about 6in of snow on the ground ill get picks asap

oh and railman the bottoms has some good holes now they are just about 54in deep if ya know what i mean

yeah, i know what ya mean... one of the guys i used to wheel with had a K5 Blazer frame with a hacked up S10 body sitting on it with some 44's...would crawl through the holes....

got it figured out :icon_hornsup:

cutting corners? ive got a buddy that could build a rig with duck tape a welder and zip ties and it hold togeather and go like a tank

good starting point? yea..... thats what i was thinkin too. no offence dude but cutting corners will never pay off...

Dude don't put him down just because he is doing a budget build. How the hell do you see him cutting corners ? He's getting some pretty sweet deals on his drive line and he's got some work ahead of him but should be in good shape after he gets everything straightened out.

BigPhil-keep us in the know on any updates down the road on this budget build brother :icon_thumby:

i believe in true budget builds. i have done my lift in a year and 3mo. and ahve only gotten about 3in. bad show(military pay). but the 5grand or 10grand build are if you get a loan and do it all at once and don't really change it. i see where both are coming from. but your thread is awesome. i want to get an old truck like a gen 1 and build it. haggard interior btw haha
