hey all,

So there's been a bug shield on my truck ever since I bought it and now the question has come up in my mind; should I keep it or get rid of it? So i'm asking all of you what you think. Should it stay or should it go?:icon_confused:

Take it off for a few days, take some pics for comparison and that will give you a good idea whether or not you want to keep it on or off. I like my trucks with and without the bug shields equally...

I like the low profle ones, they don't show rock hits like a painted metal hood does.

I tried removing mine once and the truck looked too "naked" without it. But i believe I noticed less turbulence on my side mirrors without it.

It might look better off just for the fact that you have that light bar thingy on your bumper.

i say lose it. I've used them before and the look never really grew on me, plus they gum up with all kinds of stink over time if you don't clean them pretty regularly.

well, I guess I'll take it off tomorrow and take some pics to compare. i'm still on the fence. thanks for the input all

I'd take it off, then put it back on and decide. I took mine off and now I put it back on. Of course, with the Aluminum running boards and the Moon Visor on it, my truck looked like it came from an' old-folks home. Without the 'Old Person' Accessories, it looks pretty decent. It does make my mirrors flutter with it on. its not very Areodinamic. hah. Ah well.. least it matches. Personally, I'd take it off. Your eyes go to it instead of your other accesories.

Well all, I would take it off, but the screws are rusted on. haha. I tried to take them off today with my screwdriver and they wouldn't budge. i'll have to wait until I get more WD40 to try to get it off again. Although, I might just leave it on. I feel like it makes the front seem taller.

If its all about looks then yeah, whatever floats ya!

I figure bug shields are a pretty good windshield saver if your truck ever sees gravel!

I took mine off. on a side note...I want those mirrors on my truck too! Where can I find them at?

I got them from LMC truck. I think they were $60 a piece. There's a thread in the tech library on how to do the swap. if that helps any
