I`m from yuppieville, Calgary Allberta. Just rolled back into town after a great seven month road trip to Costa Rica and back to visit some friends from when I lived there four years ago. Noticed the mayor has this city turned into a police state with red light cameras mounted on every traffic light in town. Passed three radar traps just getting from the east city limits to near city centre, 7 miles. Just finished a 12,000 mile road trip and I only saw two radar traps in total, both in AZ, go figure. Figured I`d best try to blend in with everyone else doing 30 mph so I sold my Ford E250 camper van and picked up my first Ranger 4 banger since speed isn`t an issue here and gas prices are! Unfortunately we have the highest gas prices from here down to the equator and probably further. I can`t understand it as the govt keeps telling us we are sitting on the world`s second largest oil supply here in Alberta, second only to Saudi Arabia. It`s been a good little truck so far and was affordable and economical. I`ll be using the bed of the truck to haul tools and materials once I get back to work. I am in the wood business. I have been at it for about 30 years now on and off and have gotten quite good at this craft. It`s one of my passions, so that`s a good thing. Anyhow, to make a long story short, here are some shots of the pick-up and such.

Well thanks, it`s nice to be here! Actually I do have some rust with my ranger. Didn`t notice when I test drove her, but rust is just starting at door bottom seams and cab corners a bit and tailgate bottom seam. Previous owner probably never washed it as it was just a commuter for him from small town alberta to downtown calgary, till he lost his job last year. I have been toying with the idea of getting it rust checked for about $130/ year +-. Not sure though as that`s a yearly expense. But after seeing some posts of Rangers that haven`t done it in the salt belt, it might be worthwhile at resale time.

Someone needs to direct this man to the tailgate forum, STAT!

Welcome to the forum! Seems that you should fit right in here! :P

Thanks for the compliment, it`s good to be here. You`ve got a pretty good eye if you noticed the last pix. Three Parisian gals I met while camping in Copan at that restaurant. Ever been there? I offered them a ride to Antigua for Easter but they had already arranged a tour bus or something. So I was forced to settle with working on my computer and chatting by the pool. It was steamy that day. Where did you live before, Tegusi?
