I just bought 3 used buckshot radial mudders, size PR78 16. what size would these be close to? I figure Ill run a pair of one size on the back and get different tires for the front.

I had PR 78-16 Buckshots. They are the same as the 285/75/r16. They are a true 33'' tall when new, I thinks

really? i thought they looked a bit skinny, like a 33x10.5

just measure the diameter on them.

they're not mounted on rims so its hard to measure and compare. we pulled them up beside a brand new set of mounted 33x10.5 BFG MAll Terrains and they were smaller. but like I said they're not mounted.

how do they measure the tire width so i could find a similar size
Im pretty sure theyre like a 33x10.5 but a second opinion definitely helps

I had them on a trashy set of white spoke 16x8-10" with no safety beads

pr78 16 = 285 / 75 / r16 = 33''
and I've heard they do last fairly long

the diameter will change depending on the width of the rim you're mounting them on. best to measure your unmounted tires and compare them to other tires that are unmounted as well.
or go ahead and mount yours on rims then compare them to other mounted tires with the same wheel width.

You won't be able to get any swampers for awhile. And I have Buckshot Mudders and no complaints here.

swampers are still on backorder?

they guy at 4wheelparts was telling me interco isnt planning on producing anything other than boggers for a while.

best bet for swampers is to find an actual tire place that sells them and see if they have any left. some of those places buys them in bulk and store them in a warehouse.

If I can get mud kings in 285/75r16, I'd get a pair, which would be about $260 plus cost of 4 16" wheels and have a nice set of wheeling tires, but I couldn't use them for my commute to school 65 miles away 3 times a week. If I wait a bit, I can get a 3 month old set of 33x10.5x15 BFG All Terrains for $600. which should i choose?

thats a WHOLE lot for a set of 33 get stucks in my opinion, the mudkings would be just fine for ur commute to school, they will wear just as long as the get stucks

yeah she paid 660 for then 3 months ago. this morning the old man changed my mind about it again. im on the hunt for 31s or 32s, buying brand new. i really want 32x11.5s but that limits my selection. Im really tempted to get 31x10.5 trxus MTs, i hear they do well as far as tire wear. Nokian Vatiiva MTs are a possibility too
