BS facts people will tell you about their used vehicle for sale.

Before I bought my ranger, we went and looked a chevy truck. It was a 1993 1500 with a TBI 350, 2wd extended cab auto. The guy was restoring it, and it had been in a front end collision. He screwed the headlights to the OUTSIDE of the grill with wood screws, so they stuck out a couple of inches. The front was all sorts of colors. The odometer read 230,000mi, and he said it had a jasper 350 put in about 10,000 miles ago. We want to hear it run, he gets in and it certainly dosen't sound like no 10,000 mile 350. Sounds more like a 350 with 230,000 miles and a front end collision. Took 8 or 9 cranks for it to fire and when it did it had a horrible ticking noise.

Then he tried telling us "well, it still runs good and has lots of power! It will still do a huge burnout!" WHAT? Don't tell us that you do burnouts in a truck with 230,000 miles and then try selling it to us. And besides, I have yet to see a chevy truck like that do a "huge burnout".

the SHO is actually quite reasonably priced for what you get for the 2011

the first price listed is base model, cheapest version, the second one is highest normal model, the third is the SHO in the same year...

SHO was similar to SVT except as the acronyms imply, SHO was not a team, it was a trim, if you want to call it that.. it was a race built motor made through a partnership with yamaha and ford, and was originally designed to have a motorcycle race motor in the taurus, but strayed from that slightly

I'd of snatched up the SHO, and I hate the Taurus with a passion, except the SHO. I wouldn't buy a V8 one tho, I'd look for a 3.2 V6.

dude, ford bought out 3m in 97, and intergrated all of their products into ford vehicles by the 98 model year, duct tape WAS used on all 99-03 powerstroke turbos

I call shennanigans, I found some 3M products under the door panels of my grandma's Buick!

they still allow the use to chitty shevy

It wouldnt turn or get the rear end to kick out if you added more throttle it just plowed straight for the gaurd rail

What you're describing is understeer.
Hit the wall with the back end of the car=Oversteer
Plow the front end into the wall=Understeer. :icon_thumby:

What I wouldnt give for a SHO engine......

did you look under the hood to see if it actually was a DOHC or not??

Your sure 3m was bought out by ford? Its not uncommon for automakers to use another companies product....hell BASF makes the paint that goes on Fords, but Ford doesn't own BASF.

Turns out the "FBI" story can be common with people selling decommissioned Interceptors. The odd thing is, it was in excellent shape and the price was fair so I can only guess that either he is a complete idiot and believes it himself, or he was just trying to make it seem like a mad deal.

FBI & government vehicles will have a DSO number on the door sticker that starts with 83.

Also, my cousin is one of those people that BS people to sell a car. I don't know why he does it, its stupid shit like telling someone the car was painted with a custom House of Kolor paint, when it was just a stock color off of a honda, or telling someone a car has a walbro fuel pump, absolutely no reason just does it.

I love going to look at a vehicle when the owner tries to pull this stuff on me. One example is when I went to look at a 93 Mustang GT that the guy "had some headers and custom exhaust work". It had the stock manifolds and weld in Flowmasters.

Also, my friend would always put "still smells new" on every car ad he ran. I knew damn good and well they didn't smell new, because I cut the cheese in his cars all the time.
