The start solenoid could also have bad contacts? It wouldnt hurt to upgrade all the cables at the same time and add a ground wire from batt neg to the alternator body. The military type battery clamps are the best for adding appliances with the lug type cable connectors.

Yes, bad connections including corrosion is a huge cause of no start conditions, along with low electrolyte levels in the battery.

not trying to be an ass but ppl told you to check the cables and repplace them before you ever even got the new coil cause yes they corrode inside and can break and you will never know
