Bronco II 2.9L fuel pump

What lines are you getting? Just generic rubber lines or a hard plastic like original?

I bought the original nylon (hard) lines and connectors.

What? Where did you find this!?!?! Link...?

I got the line... fittings etc.... on Amazon.

I was trying to price out individual line and connectors and the doorman tool. After some frustration... I just dropped money on the kit. I think it will have everything I need to just do new lines on the Bronco II... then I will replace what I used... and have all the repair stuff on hand going forward. this was the best price I could find and it will even do the 90 fittings and 45 fittings.

Here you are Gump I can photo if need be this afternoon most likely, maybe tomorrow the girlfriend is wanting me to fix her driveway now that I have a tractor.... :)

I found the canister filter element at the local parts store. I'm just pulling the canister off my truck. If you need the filter let me know.

I eliminated the two pump setup and the reservoir from my '88, and used a KEMSO 340LPH pump (https://www.ebay.com/itm/151921825320) as per PJ's recommendation. I had to modify the sending unit slightly as this pump is just a hair taller than the factory low pressure one but it works great and I'd highly recommend it. You can replace the high pressure pump with a second fuel filter if you want, that's what I did, it solves some of the fuel line splicing.

I believe PJ was hoping to boost his 2.9L. I did a bit of digging and went with a 255LPH pump @43psi. I don't think my 2.9L will burn anywhere near 60 plus gph. I'm also just doing an in-tank pump and in-line filter. All the rest is outta there. I'll just make new lines from the old pump back on the supply and canister back on the return.

I figured the GPM rating is unimportant because the regulator dumps whatever is left back into the tank. I'm using it on a 4 cylinder.

@Uncle Gump , if you don’t want the canister, I’ll take it.

My 88 had the canister between the tank and the high pressure pump and it had a normal style filter on a bracket on the frame rail up by the motor, almost impossible to notice if you weren’t looking close enough and a real pain to change. I hadn’t really planned on changing things for the fuel on my 88, but now that I have the stuff to do -AN line, it’s likely I’m gonna do something different on it when I get back to work on it. 89 was the first year of the in-tank high pressure pump and my choptop does not have a canister and the standard rail mounted filter is easier to see and change. I do not know if an 89 pump will work in the 88 and older tanks though. I have an extra 86 tank, but no extra 89 pump.

Before I commit to getting rid of anything.... I'm just gonna make certain my plan works. I can't see it not working... but you never know.

I was gonna pull the stuff off today but I got to doing other stuff and it was to hot. I swear it doesn't have an in-line filter but I may have missed it.

If I think about it, I’ll get a pic of where it’s at on my 88, with it currently torn apart, it’s fairly visible

It will work, you have to cut off about an inch of the supply tube on the sending unit above the pump. The '89+ pump is taller.
