bronco 2 vs jeep

I don't want a ZJ lol

LOL, I didn't mind mine at all especially in winter it had the full time 4WD option so the patchy snow/ice areas weren't even noticable, and didn't have to worry about taking it out of 4WD and putting it back in whenever conditions changed, I just put it in all-time 4WD (4Hi-full time) and left it there all winter usually, then come spring I just put it back in 2WD. I think that the Selec-Trac 4WD system was the best design to date.

For a daily driver there real convenient.

Didn't the later 4.0 Jeep's have lots of head cracking problems?

I thought that was the older ones? I know my 89 had tons of engine issues. Part of why I ditched it.

Hmm.. I should probably look into that, having a newer XJ and all.. lol

Yeah, except I had mine all over the mountains as well, it was only clean for a couple days after I bought it, then it was never clean again LOL. They're far more capable in stock form than people give them credit for.

I know my B2 is pretty capable as well, ok if you can get it started in the cold weather LOL.

I thought it was the very last year? Pretty sure I read it on wiki.

I'm just going to leave this...right....here.

Don't ask me why I sold it... I literally still don't know.
:annoyed:

Just admit it, you sold it because you didn't like the color LOL.

HEY! What's wrong with that color! lol, actually I'm not a big fan of the green to be honest, my next XJ is going to have to be Black, Silver, or Chili Pepper.

And mmm... two door.

Color is really of little consequence to me. It was solid though and a rare bird.
12/96 production, engine was 97 4.0 HO, 5 spd....

I loved it, I still have NO RATIONAL idea why I sold it.

The dipshit who bought it from me, chopped the fenders off, but 35's on it and sumamarily rolled it into a tree.

a year after I sold it, I saw it in the junkyard. I cried.

If you got a Jeep Cherokee, I'll trade you my 84 B2. I loved and miss my jeep, and after having the B2 offroad on a couple of extremely mild trails I found my jeep was far more predictable and stable. Wheel base, and width are a major downfall on the B2 unfortunately.

the cherokee isnt a fair fight with these though. stock to stock that is, especially after the 4.0 ho came out.

The b2 was a bit on the weak side for its year span. Not sure why they didn't give it tougher stuffs. Wish they had.

For what it was intended to be it was fine.

At least they gave us a solid real frame to form a clean sheet for whatever our imaginations came up with for improvements... and later on the Explorer to unbolt bolt-ons. :icon_thumby:

Two days ago, a B2 and Cherokee that were road configured went off road. The Cherokee got itself in trouble. The B2 pulled it out.

Honestly tho, the Cherokee seemed pretty solid and had the B2 gotten itself into the same tough spot as the Cherokee, the B2 might not have done so well considering the narrower wheel base....on the other hand the B2 probably could have gotten thru the tight spot without slippin into the hole.
