Working on an 88 B2. After removing seats, carpet etc, I discovered I’m going to need to replace the whole driver side floorboard. I found a replacement panel for the front part of the floorboard in front of and under the front seat but can’t find anything for the back part behind the front seat seat where your feet would go in the back seat. Anybody know of a source for the back piece?

I recommend you buy the front panel(I got one for a ranger and it was a little cheaper but the same thing) and install it. See what it takes, all the modifications and beating with a hammer to make a panel that is supposed to "fit" to make it fit.

Then you will be prepared to work on the rear floor. Yes, they do not make one that I can find. I can't find one either for a older explorer. Take some measurements, get in your head what it looks like, you might be able to take a common rear floor pan from a old mustang(common mean easier to get and cheaper) and modify and beat on it to fit. Unless you are building a show truck, no one will know the difference.

Get your feet wet with the front one first.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, bu thought I would pass it along just in case:

Floor pans for a 88 BII

The rear ones seem to be hard to find.

Here's another source:
