So I've done a bunch of searching and I can't find what I'm looking for. Anyone out there have pics or info on dovetailing a B2 whithout chopping the top off?

I've never seen one. It would be interesting to see.

I got the windows out this morning and I think I'm just gonna start cuttin and see what happens. I figure worst comes to worst I can always chop the top after the dovetail if it looks dumb. By the way anyone nearby me need some side glass in good shape? I figure these gotta be kinda hard to come by unbroken?

Take pics. I think the fiberglass lift gate will give you some trouble. Document what you do, it may start a trend. Or prevent someone else from wasting time.
Good luck, I'm rooting for you,

Richard

Thanks. I had thought about the lift gate and since its gonna be trail only I figure I'll try making it fit but if it don't go it shouldn't be a big deal to section a ranger tailgate to fit. Then fill in the space above the tail lights then maybe make a topper type door outta a piece of plexi glass? Figure I'm gonna use that for the side windows too. No point breaking good glass on the trail when someone with a street bronco could probably use it.

This will be kinda a slow build. Between funds time and space to build I've got some limitations to overcome. I will post pics tho as soon as I have some progress worth showing off!

I've seen one, but for the life of me I can't remember who's it is or where I saw it.

Ruth had the nose doved on his B2. He also cut the hatch to allow the spare tire to protrude through.

yeah ruth wanted more space inside the cab for his spare, so the opposite of a dovetail
