got lookin at my 94' mazda b4000 and noticed it sat lower on the drivers side. so i got lookin and the front drivers side spring hanger had completely broken off. any ideas how to fix it?

Not hard to do hangers, check out my thread. I did avoid that one because you do have to drop the tank, but I didn't have nice conditions. Had I it would have been simple and nice. All you really need is an angle grinder and an air chisel.

Nope, but I have a 3" body lift which gave me more room that usual to get at it. If I didn't I definitely would have, it makes it nicer to get at the rivets with the air chisel.

did all four in my garage without taking the bed off. i didnt remove the gas tank but i did loosen it up and slide it to get my hand between it and the frame rail. it is doable that way, but it is a pain.

Sorry to post on a month old thread, but how much lower was your truck sitting on the drivers side? Mines like a 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch lower on the drivers side. I always assumed it was just sagging suspension and maybe a larger fella was the previous owner. Maybe I've got a broken hanger too.

"A pain" is a vast understatement. That's exactly how I did mine too. I was trying to avoid moving the tank much since the straps are about shot and had almost a full tank of gas when the hanger broke.

It's somewhat normal, and is honestly a fairly well known issue with Rangers and Bronco II's. I'd make sure your hangers are still intact though... also a well known issue...

Get a new one. They aren't hard to replace. Here's a good website to buy such hangers: http://www.autoandtrucksprings.com/catalog/Ford_Ranger_Suspension_Kits-162-1.html And also do yourself a favor and inspect all of the hangers for damage. Chances are that if that one is already broken, the others are broken too or close to it. I had to do all 4 on mine.

I 2nd that! The owner is a member hear too (I believe) but he will give a discount on it if you mention you are a TRS member.
