broken o2 sensor

I don't have as much experience with older engines as I have with new, but did you try checking your ignition? One of your cylinders may not be firing. Spark plugs, ignition coils, distributors, etc. That's where I would start at.

Yep. These are mainly what could be causing it. Check the condition of the outside of the wires too. Could be arcing out on something.

O2 sensor

Nothing personal to anyone who hasn't experience what i have BUT...

Everytime one of my O2 sensors has gotten close or actually died my engine(s) would run progressively worse, then after 02 died mileage would go to feces and engine would not run at par.

Upon replacing the sensor and and reseting the ECU, mileage would return along with proper engine operation. That is my experience.

As far as the engine "MISSING", my first guess is that darn ignition module on the distributor; however, a bad wire/plug or even distributor cap or rotor can also do it (to include a vacuum leak).

ok i got new plugs, wires, ignition, coil, and i took the broken o2 out and it seems to be running better going to put the new 02 in and then driver her around.
