broken leaf spring


random tidbit of info that i knew, and i probably wouldn't have thought of unless somebody mentioned it, thanks.:beer:
this is probably going to end up being a slow but complete suspension refresh, I'm a broke soldier so it's going to take a while to stock pile the parts. May do a little bit of lift while I'm in there, but it's a 2wd so I don't really know that its worth the time/money.

they do realize you can get a whole new ranger of that era for $1900 or less
easily...

You would think so, but nooooo, they're just out to make money, but I can understand that.
Bills like that make me glad that I used to be a mechanic and can do my own work, $$ permitting.
 
whoah, whoah, WHOAH.... How the hell do you brake a leaf spring? That's like pro rally status right there dude. lol Good luck gettin that fixed though. I'm gonna go make sure mine are in good shape, those leaf spring kits are lookin better and better. Shiny.
 
Wow...thats a 2 hour job TOPS if you know what your doing. You dont have to worry about screwing up the leaf spring bushings if your replacing it. It's 2 bolts and u-bolts... for over a GRAND?!?!? Wow...

Yeah they are looking goods, and I don't know how it broke, hell, I didn't even know it HAD broken until I went and got new tires.
