broke my frame :(

so I had a trailer on and 2 four wheelers and the frame broke on the very back like the last 6 inches right behind the rear spring hanger im thinking about plating the inside of the frame and need some help on how to do it never done it. thanks for any help or ideas

I've pulled full size trucks behind my rangers... You have more problems going on than a simple overload issue. Sounds like some major rust cancer. You'll need to find the full extent of the rust.

Yep doc said it sounds like advanced general rust cancer. Sorry to inform you lol.

I've loaded over 2500 lbs many times in the bed of my b2300 and frame never broke.. Of course it was riding like it was surfing on the highway but it needs more than 2 4 wheelers and a trailer to break a frame lol.

About a month ago someone posted pages from an old manual showing how to brace a frame properly...

I did use the search engine and there are actually quite a few posts in various threads about bracing the frame...maybe someone else can offer something better, but there is plenty of information on here...and also plenty of pics (that I recall) of frame patches...so you may want to use the search engine and just go through what's in there...search on "Frame Repair" or something similar...

you could also approach places that install springs or other welding shops...they might charge you quite a bit depending on the damage, but if they're experienced it might be worth it...otherwise...finding the info is only half the battle...if you have a welder and some steel you could probably do it yourself...
