Breather clearance issues

So thats not going to work even if I cut the bracket down.... so I was thinking about shoving a 90* in there, either a pvc, copper, or some blue pvc from home depot..... I cant find a breather small enough and I dont have the old exploder peice from the filler neck to see if it had a filter in it. since they must have removed it before I got it
