hey guys,

so, lately, when im stopping at idle (clutch in just about to stop at low speed) i press the brake, and it feels soft as hell.. however when braking at speed anytime the rpms are above 1500 ish its fine... initially i thought a vacuum leek but all seems to be well there (tested with vacuum gauge) all the brake parts are new within the last three years... (new calipers, hoses, rear cylinders & hoses) i recently checked for a leak on any of them and no such leak exists.

the other thing thats occurring is @ low speed if i brake , the wheels will lock up (this only used to happen in cold weather. but now its allot more frequent )

i was thinking it could be the booster, or the proportioning valve ? something of this nature... anyway.. maybe someones got an idea ? i hate brakes .

i cant think of anything other than the booster.

BUT, how do you spell brakes (multiple times)right in the post but the title is spelled wrong.

i would agree it sounds like a boost or booster issue.

and great catch on the spelling! :icon_rofl:

I'd add that the booster check valve may be the culprit.

It is the plastic fitting that attaches the large hose to the booster.

cool guys thanks , ill check this out this weekend.

ah yes... good question, perhaps i shall answer your question with another question ... what spelling erros?

Did that booster issue fix it?

I am having the same issue. I have new everything except for the booster.

yeah i replaced the master and booster, everythings fine now, the wheels dont lock up in the cold anymore at low speeds either.
