I got a 1999 4x4 Ranger I bot it with a bad rear end and the ABS light was on. I had a feeling the ABS light was the rear end anyway so i did the Explore swap with the 31 spine axles and disk brakes, so now the ABS light went off, cool but just before the truck comes to a complete stop now the brakes will pulsate. I'm hope it's just a censer that I need,
and I'm hopping someone else had this same problem can help me, thanks.

Check your rotors. They are warped or rusted. Time for new ones. Buy premium one if you want to keep your truck for a long time.

If the abs is kicking in just before you come to a complete stop the abs sensor is working but is receiving an erraneous signal. Usually due to shavings/buildup on the sensor. Simply cleaning the sensors will fix the issue...

Thanks guys all try bolt of them, but I think it's the rotors they did get rusted sitting around before I installed it.

I agree with yellowsplash. the 98, 99 and 2000 have a vss/abs sensor on the top of the differential that control the speedometer and abs. it feeds info to the pcm. they are very finicky. cleaning it might work but you might need to get a new one. I dont know anything about your rearend swap but if it is a different gear setup that could screw your abs also. when you say pulsing i think of a funny pumping action with the pedal. The rotors if they are warped would make a vibration on the whole car.

If it was your rotors it would be more prevalent during higher speed driving, such as applying the brakes on the exit ramp coming off the interstate. If you dont notice any shaking of the vehicle/wheel during this type of braking your rotors are fine.

If your pedal seems to "drop" at about 5mph before coming to a stop and your abs kicks in one of your abs sensors are not transmitting the signal correctly as I mentioned earlier. You DO NOT have to replace it just yet, just clean it. If the sensor were bad it would pop a code and/or your speedometer would start acting erratic, such as jumping from 0-35mph, etc.

Keep in mind, if your vehicle is 4WABS you also have sensors at each of the front wheels that can cause this issue as well...

Since it doesn't seem very clear from your post, I guess I'll ask: is the whole vehicle pulsating when you apply the brake, or just the brake pedal?
