so ive been noticing my brakes getting slightly spongy lately but nothing too bad. there are times though that after i come to a complete stop it starts to slowly creep forward without me even moving my foot. im wondering if my brake lines might be swelling and need to be changed or is it the pads? It may be a stupid question but i am by no means a brake person and was wanting some advice. hell it could be normal for all i know.

damn. so i guess i will have to replace that soon

Don't worry about it, it's striaght forward. Just be sure to have a buddy on hand to help you bleed the brakes afterwards.

Thanks bubba I will make note. Im at the kindergarten level with auto mechanics
But am learning

It's all good; We all start somewhere. I'm not much passed 4th grade myself... LOL!

Bench Bleed

I just did this myself. A couple of notes from my experience

- On my '88 the master cylinder brake fluid resevoir stabs into the master cylinder. If yours is the same and you get a master cylinder without the resevoir, be really careful prying the old one off. Mine was a PITA to get off. I put the master cylinder in a vise and got a chunk of wood to pry against to spread the load of the pry bar.

-DON'T forget to bench bleed the master cylinder first. New masters usually come with notes on how to do it.

Good luck.
