:icon_confused: ok so i noticed that i was losing brake fluid slowly and i couldent find the leak finally i found it in the right rear wheel cylinder so i replaced both sides and the pads on the back.then the front wouldent bleed out
i replace the master cylinder and all the warning lights when out and my rabs worked:yahoo: then a couple days later both the parking brake light and the abs light came on and the rabs stopped working. and now along with that the brake lights decided to stop working so i tried replacing the bulbs nothing so i replaced the brake switch nothing then i looked at it and thought hmmm i jiggled the switch and the lights would come on so i put a shim and it worked for a while (still with the warning lights) but i think the shim has worn down cuz they stopped working again its a 1994 4.0 4x4 xlt standerd cab longbed if anyone has any input on any of my problems help please i dont want to get pulled over again for no brakelights

long story short my abs and e brake light are on with new master cylinder and wheel cylinders in the back and the brake light switch is sketchy

1994 Ranger XLT ex cab, 4.0 with rear ABS system 2wd. I have the same trouble with the ABS or RABS and brake light coming on later while driving. When I park the system, it resets it's self. Code check with eng. off = 16. So, I check it the next time with eng running, has a code 4. I bleed the system from all points to see if I could reset the system. Worked for awhile then came back. Now I feel like the RABS module, that's been replaced once, is bad again. The module is under the diver's side on the box frame. I have had trouble with the speed control in the past and do not know if this is part of the same problem. Also, the emergency brake pedal sometimes pops and goes to the lowest place on the rack. Any one with the same problem?

I'm just curious why if you had a definitive rear brake problem why were you trying to bleed the fronts?

Seems you created trouble by "fixing" something that wasn't broken....
