I got a 97 ranger d35 w/373s no abs, Had one hell of a time finding rotors last year but eventally did. I got a 93 explorer 4x4 for parts it also had a d35 front but had 3.27 gears. It can with new rotors still in the boxes. Will they fit my truck should i keep them for spares next time I need em or are they different because my calipers are different from the 93 explorer?

allan d said the offset of the braking surface is different and will hit your backing plate or something like that.

Yeh if I remember right, the 3.73 rotors on my 97 had different part numbers than the other ratios.

Have you looked at rockauto.com?

They have good prices on parts. You can also get OEM parts for the cost of the cheap crap you get at autozone!

He said the stock Ford rotors had a different offset, but that a new set of replacement rotors have the same offset. Basically it's cheaper to build one rotor than two seperate rotors when the later will fit both.

So, I'd say they'd fit. BTW, the part numbers are the same for a 93 and 97 non-abs Ranger at my local auto store.

OK I will give it a try Thanks
