Brake lines dana 44

Can anybody help me out with what brake lines can be used with a stock 97 ranger fitting and a 79 full size caliper.

I believe the lines should bolt right onto the calipers.

and if not, you can always find a hose that has the right banjo fitting, and use an adapter if needed at the hard line.

Stock, or extended stock style (the ones that come with lift kits) should bolt up just fine. I'm using ProComp ones with no issues.

I went with the brake line setup the solid axle had with the origonal truck, one flex line to the axle, and one for each caliper. That way i dont need super long hoses at each wheel to allow sufficient travel. Just my 2 cents

^^^thats the setup I'll be going to when I build some new radius arms. Or run them prerunner style down the radius arms.

I thought about that too and had actually bought some hoses to do it, but i decided against it because i thought, what if something happend and hit the hoses or hard lines on the arms. Its more protected where i have it. If i had some huge flex in the front i would definitly go with the the down the radius arms style.

I've seen guys run them like that, then tack small angle iron on top of it to protect the line.
