does anyone know whats going on? my tail lights are always lit up like the brakes are being pressed even when the truck is off, cant keep a battery more than a day...thanks.

Check the press switch by the brake pedal. Ford used different designs from a simple micro switch to a spring press switch. Just make sure the switch is not stuck, the pedal is coming up all the way, or the switch didn't get bent off its braket.

i had this happen once on a 1979 f-250. what it ended up being is that the pivot bolt on the pedal was loose and the pedal was hanging lower because the pivot bolt had worked its way out just enough so that the pedal was twisted just right to barely trigger the switch
