"BRAKE" light on dash staying on...causes?

The "BRAKE" light on my cluster is staying lit after the truck is running.

If one of the ABS sensors is not working correctly will it cause this? I have a hunch that might be the issue as I replaced my hubs and I was having problems with the plug on one of the sensors. Brake fluid does not look low, what else might cause it? I will have to take this truck in for inspection once I start driving it and I know it won't pass if that light is staying lit.

I'm gonna try swapping out the ABS sensor in question for the one off the old hub to see if that fixes it, anyway.

The ABS system won't cause that. It would cause a yellow ABS light.

Low brake fluid, the parking brake switch, and a fault in the wiring or instrument cluster are the only things that will cause that.

Make sure the parking brake isn't partially applied, unplug the fluid level sensor and see if the light goes out, and report back.

OK, stupid question but the fluid level sensor is the one that plugs into the side of the reservoir correct? How do you get that plug off? It doesn't seem to have the tabs on it like most of the other plugs do, I can't see how to release it.

Yes the on at the bottom of the fluid reservoir. Usually the release tab is on the bottom side of the connector.

Also look down in there and see if the float is stuck on the bottom.

Unplugged the sensor, light is still on. What does that mean?
I can't really see the float with the design of the reservoir. Parking brake does not appear to be partially applied.

Edit: Just found that the float is not stuck.

Ok, it's the parking brake switch, it's not really making contact with the back of the pedal when the brake is off. Tried adjusting it and it goes off, but if you set the brake it apparently moves the switch and then you have to adjust it again. Guess I need to replace it.
