My 93 Ranger is giving me some problems. All of the sudden today, I see none of my brake lights are working, including the third one. Wiring is all uncut and stock. The other functions of the tail lights work fine. I replaced the bulbs and the switch on the brake pedal. I've replaced the fuses. None have helped. When I cross the wiring plug-in at the brake pedal switch, I can get the test light to light up, but still no brake lights. Testing the plug-in on the inner fender doesn't show that there is power at that spot. Also, it doesn't appear to have power at the firewall junction, either. What am I missing? Thanks for the help!

I did, but pretty quickly. The fuses in there all looked fine, and as far as I know, none of the relays are tied into the brake lights.

I'll send you that schematic if you want.

PM me your e-mail address.

It can't be the ground (G103), it's used for virtually ALL the rear lights and gas guage.

Check fuse 10, in the cab.

Got it fixed. The round black bushing on the brake pedal that keeps the switch from rattling was preventing the plunger from moving all the way back. The bushing was machined down .002. Works like a charm now.

It's a free fix! Nice.

Sent schematics anyway.
