How the heck am I supposed to remove the spring retaining clip that holds the front brake hose to the frame. I removed the wheel well plastic so that's not the issue. I just for the life of me cant remove it. Last time I replaced the passenger side brake hose I ended up messing up the clip and had to tie the thing to the chassis with 12 awg wire. It would be nice to save the driver side clip. Anyone removed it before? Tried a search but apparently no one else has had this problem.

I figured it out your need to use a screw driver to open the clip. Half of the clip get flexed over the female nub of the brake hose part, then while its flexed you slide it off.

Yup, and when I replace them I cut them in half so they aren't such a PITA to remove the next time.

For the replacement of the brake hose, you might opt to follow this Brake Hose Replacement guide that I happened to find while I was searching for a replacement. Hope this might help.
